Main train station in Prague

Prague Main train station (Hlavní nádraží in Czech) is the biggest train station in Prague and is situated just a few minutes of walk from Wenceslas square in the city centre. It has it's own metro station also called suprisingly Hlavní nádraží. It used to be quite gloomy and unfriendly place for a long time but thanks to the big reconstruction that started in 2006 the place has rapidly improved and now it's modern travel hub full of various facilities. The building has two main floors and apart from the travel and ticket centre in the ground floor it contains number of different shops and restaurants. The two cafes in the first floor called Fantova kavárna and Foyer café are highly recommended.

Trains from the Main station

Hundreds of trains going every day around Czech republic in all possible directions depart and arrive to this station. Prague has many international connections from here as well - for example trains to Berlin, Vienna, Budapest or Gdansk.
