How to get from Prague airport to city centre

Prague airport is quite far from the city centre but easily reachable using public transport that can take you there in about 30 minutes. You can catch a taxi or use the public transport and take the bus. There is no metro going to the airport but there should be fast train line in the future.

Bus from Prague airport to city centre

There are several bus lines from Prague airport to the city centre. The ticket costs 42 Kč and is valid for 90 minutes in buses, trams and metro across the whole Prague. Bus stations are right in front of the airport terminals and you can catch following buses there:

  • Bus no. 59 - this is the best choice because it goes straight in the direction to the city centre along the Evropská street and ends at metro station Nádraží Veleslavín where you can change for the green metro line A, it takes about 15 minutes from airport to Veleslavín and then 10 minutes to the centre by metro
  • Bus AE (Airport express) - direct line going every half an hour to the main train station, you need to buy special ticket for 100 Kč
  • Bus no. 100 - goes to Zličín metro station which is the end of yellow line B, it takes approximately 20 minutes
  • Bus no. 910 - this bus goes during the night in intervals of half an hour

Taxi from Prague airport to city centre

Uber is the official provider of taxis from the airport. The ride costs about 750 Kč from airport to the city centre and takes about 30 minutes depending on the traffic. You can order the Uber taxi using the mobile application, in the special self-service kiosks located near airport exits or by service counter with assistant.
