Prague 1 is the oldest part of czech capital and also its historical centre. You will find the vast majority of touristic sights and monuments here including the major places such as Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge or Prague Castle. District of Prague 1 includes the entire Old Town (Staré město), Jewish quarter Josefov, Lesser Town (Malá Strana), Hradčany and part of New Town (Nové město). Little over 30 thousand people live here as permanent inhabitants. Prague 1 is primarily a touristic zone and majority of foreign visitors stays here during their visit.
